Director of the Center

Remarks from the Director of the Center
King Abdul Aziz University has a long heritage. It has graduated many students who held high administrative and leadership positions both domestically and internationally, as they have the academic qualifications and practical experience, which are an integral part of the achievements of the University.
With the acceleration of technology, electronic transformation, activating the University’s vision of “a university without papers”, and the emergence of technical methods to maintain the necessary documents, data and information are the heart of institutions and societies at the national and international levels. There is a need for information dissemination, maintaining informational authenticity, preserving information Intellectual rights and achieving progress and innovation by providing documents faster for the information society based on applicable rules and regulations. Documents are the basis for writing history and the essence of the future, as they connect the past and the present. Without the manuscripts, our heritage would not have been continued until today. Therefore, it is a must to maintain this heritage and use modern technology to maintain the documents and benefit from technology to continue information flow and knowledge creativity.
The importance of the Documents and Archives Center is highlighted through the interest of the government in establishing the National Center for Documents and Archives, and the support of His Excellency the University President and the Vice-President to activate the role of the Center, which maintains the documents and displays them in a manner that preserves them for years. This interest in preserving the documents is due to the fact that losing them means losing our heritage and history.
The University staff also participate with us to form a distinguished information base to serve researchers and clients of the Center to build a database of informational documents.
In conclusion, I hope that this center will be a gateway to communication with all University staff and that they will benefit from it. The Center welcomes everyone and we will be pleased to receive your suggestions and feedback, so that we can work together to advance the Center and move our University forward for more excellence.

Thank you.
